MUSIC ‣ Jasmina Trajcheska, Pianist

Jasmina Trajcheska was born in Prilep, North Macedonia, where she attended elementary music school. She completed her high school, college, and graduate studies in the capital, Skopje, at the State School Center for Music and Ballet. Among her many accomplishments, she has performed across Europe at the Summer Academies in Piran, Slovenia, and in Varna, Bulgaria; Performed at the festival Musica di Laguna, Chioggia, Italy; Officially opened the ceremony for Yamaha Piano in Grosuplje, Slovenia; Was invited as a special guest pianist for the International Festival for Classical Music – Eurochestries in Charente-Maritimes, France; Performed at the music festival Makarsko Ljeto in Croatia.

Biljana Bojović came from the Balkans to the United States to study at Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan and then completed her undergraduate studies at West Virginia University in Morgantown and graduate studies at Butler University in Indianapolis. Biljana’s works are written mostly for solo instruments and chamber groups, and often draw inspiration from Balkan folk and Orthodox church music.
