Earlier this month (October 9), Etincelles: Jean-Samuel Bez et Louise Akili appeared as artists selected for the 'Les Dimanches Musicaux' a program feature of Les Arts George V. The duo presented the program:
Joséphine Boulay (1869-1925) – Suite pour violon et piano

Maurice Ravel (1875-1937) – Sonate n°1 « Postume » pour violon etpiano
Marcelle Soulage (1873-1937) – Sonate pour violon et piano en rémineur, op. 36
Violinist Jean Samuel Bez is a member of Trio Spilliaert (Be), with whom he has produced a complete set of trios by the composer Désiré Pâque (2021, Cyprès), followed by a second disc devoted to Jacqueline Fontyn (2022, Cybele). He also forms a duo with Canadian pianist Jean-Luc Therrien. Their first CD, Fantaisies (Klarthe), was released in 2022. Familiar with non-classical music, he joins the Icelandic band Arstiðir on tour. He is also intensely involved in contemporary creation, and likes to think outside the box.
Born in Paris in 1990, pianist Louise Akili is a graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris.Holder of a CA in piano teaching, she teaches at the Conservatoire Chopin Conservatory in the 15th arrondissement of Paris. Her first solo CD, devoted to the composers Roland-Manuel and Maurice Ravel was released in November 2020 on the Passavant Music label.
